If it was simply "having a hard time narrowing things down" they wouldn't be looking for more songs
I mean, if this "Omar" guy is putting out song requests in late March we surely aren't getting it for another two months. She didn't take all this time to plan and promote, only to rush at the end
Plus, Kanye is still in the studio. They both have a lot of control over their releases and perhaps they both wanted a delay. Idk. Singles /=/ albums for the GP anyway. Album promotion is the only thing that seeps into their heads. So in a way, releasing multiple singles before the album doesn't really do anything harmful, especially if you don't promote them
I guess the difference is, people are actually anticipating Kanye's album. And he's a rapper, which means the majority of his audience will purchase in the first week. He'll be fine no matter what.
The problem with FFS is that it turned off both pop AND urban fans. Yeah, it's doing great, but it wasn't the type of lead single that builds album anticipation. She killed some of her momentum in January and doesn't seem to care. She could earn it back with AO (and perhaps a remix for urban) but it doesn't make sense to do that right now unless the album is coming soon- which it doesn't appear to be
But what do I know?
