idk, it's perfect.

For me, it was too long. The cinematography for the main bulk of the song is good but I didn't really dig the whole religious element to the video. Also, during the small interlude in the middle of the video where Gaga is just singing with the microphone and the song is acapella with just the drums, both elements slowly fall out of time with each other and it bugs me so much

It's her best video ever.
People normally hate Steven Klein's stuff though, they find it too dark, too difficult and too sexual.
But he's the perfect fit for Gaga tbh.

I really liked her when she was making fun & unpretentious pop music. Alejandro MV started all the Madonna vs Gaga comparisons (the video was heavily influenced by Madonna) and I thought she was just trying way too hard to look artsy fartsy, but it turned out to be an unoriginal & tryhard piece of work in the end.

I love the song though. The Fame Monster is still a pop masterpiece.

I don't know, it's obviously the queen of music video's Lady Gaga's best video. Ya'll are pressed that she doesn't look pretty and you don't understand it.

The catholic folks thought it was disrespectful. She also doesn't look attractive in it and I bet the guys wearing the Armani shorts and buzz cuts also scared people away. I notice that with pop music people don't like anything dark or heavy.

I loved it, still do. So many monsters preferred dance in the dark.

You left out the failed attempt to be Madonna. (Foreshadowing the next single).

Cause Alejandro was an amazing summer anthem, it didn't deserve a dark, depressing, ugly, wintry video.

This was when I jumped ship. She was getting too pretentious & try hard. & she hasn't had a good video since.

The Alejandro video represents everything wrong with Gaga's new direction [at the time]. For one, the video is too long without needing to be so long. What does the extra length add to the video? Nothing. It's as though they said 'oh, long videos are artistic.' The video is also a Madonna tribute video only it isn't half as good as an actual Madonna video. Like Madonna, the video uses religion to stir controversy - except when Madonna did it was actually controversial. Alejandro deserved better, but it is no TEOG level of disaster so there's that.

This. It is way too polarizing for poor inexperienced souls. This is real art. And art is very hard to understand for regular people

This was my complaint back in 2010 and still is.

The Edge of Glory is short, to the point, and matches the mental visuals I had in mind for the song prior to seeing the video... unlike Alejandro.

TEOG video is underrated.
