Demi Lovato is no stranger to recording power-ballads. I could easily see 'Wrecking Ball' being a song that she would sing.
So, say Demi had recorded and released Wrecking Ball rather than Miley. All other aspects of it would be the same; released at the same time, the same music video, etc... Would she have seen success anywhere near Miley's? Would she have gone on to break records on both Billboard as well as YouTube like Miley? Would the music video have been as controversial and garner anywhere near the whopping 753+ million views as Miley, and go on to win awards? What do you think?
I think she slay as an vocalist, but unfortunately her version would of flop. Because Miley is very popular from Hanna Montana which Demi's old show is forgettable. If Demi had change her imagine like Miley, I wouldn't think the media will care that much. TBH
It would be a hit if she released it as a first single (all her first singles off her albums (heart attack, skyscraper, Here We Go Again) are always a success. Its the second singles her label needs to work on. So yeah if she had released it as the first single off DEMI or D5, i think it would be a hit
