People in the West (namely the US) don't mind appropriating Asian culture because they deem Asians as inferior...a lot of that still comes from Japan's transgressions in WW2, the Korean War, and Vietnam...all other Asian cultures just get lumped into that, sadly. It's kind of like a "You shouldn't mind us making a mockery of your culture, just be glad we didn't take over your country" mentality.
Back to Iggy and Brit: It will be interesting though, if this collab flops and/or the album era, will the Army come after Amethyst as well?
