She specifically said "not to say that they weren't real music.." which means she realizes that her past records are good music but she's outgrown them and want to make songs that reflect where she's at in her life and career.

You guys are acting like this is RR when Rihanna was pratically broke. Even if R8A flopped she could still manage a profitable tour so she's not as bothered as during RR/LOUD.

Anybody who thinks Rih will rush into the studio to put out another album of r8 flops is delusional.

Rih already proved she can go years without music. She would have no problem getting more endorsements and fashion magazines to cover if that happened.
