Good Charlotte aren't together anymore, but he's in a duo with his brother, Benji (who was also in Good Charlotte). They're now called The Madden Brothers, and they do well in Australia.
EDIT: Actually, Good Charlotte recorded music together last year, and The Madden Brothers is just a side project.
Actually there was plenty of talk about how young she was and how much older he was when they were dating. Social media was just pretty much irrelevant so it didn't make as big of an impact, naturally.
