The girl wasn't shady, she wasn't eliminated then. After the performance she had to wait on stage and stay there until everyone performs, then 3 people out of the 8 advance.

IDK why people think Esmee is fake and arrogant, she comes off as genuine to me. But i do think the other girls who advanced were more talented, or at least gave a better performance. Still adore Esmee, and bop to her songs.
