Jazz standards are ****ing life, it's so sad my generation despises them.
It's very different from music today but they're just so well-crafted, it's not even comparable. Obviously it can be criticized especially since there wasn't really any room for experimentation but they just sound so wonderful, and they're so much fun to play! I never play pop music now that I got my first fake book for Christmas. If there's anyone in this thread who feels me speak up, lol.
