a lot of the stuff we read for my world literature class feels so...pointless? idk how to describe it but i come away from it feeling like i didn't gain anything from the experience, the endings always feel like ripoffs and the way to the end wasn't any fun anyway
it's hard to describe what makes an ending a ripoff but it's not a matter of if it's a happy ending, it's just that all of these end in a way that's as unfair and unsatisfying as possible without being bad in an interesting way
