In a recently interview Marina was asked about Lana Del Rey and talks about comparison and adoration.


"At the starting everyone was comparing me to Lana," she told me at the time. "You will always be compared in that fashion when you are a girl. People zero in on the fashion, on stuff like 'well, she's a got a curl and Lana Del Rey has a curl…they must be the same thing'. I adore her, think she's tremendously talented. However, I'm glad the comparison has gone away."

The comparisions were ridiculous. They started comparing them around the release of Radioactive which was nothing like Lana's music (and so was Electra Heart).

I hate pictures like the one in the OP. I ****ing hate that fans photoshop them together, it even made me dislike Marina a bit for no reason. Idk it just bothers me.
