How does a hermaphrodite identifies their sexuality&gender?
A hermaphrodite an organism that has reproductive organs normally associated with both male and female sexes. How does a intersex person identifies their sexuality? Like for example he likes only girls but since its tecn. a girl too does this make it him gay, bi or straight? how do they identify their sexuality and gender? discuss
Well I once saw a TV show where a woman discovered later in her life that she had some small unformed testes up in her vagina and that she did not have an uterus (apparently she did not have a period either, but I guess she thought this wasn't due to her being a hermaphrodite) and because she had no penis and looked like a woman and was attracted to men she identified as a straight woman. She had the body of a woman too technically just different in her genitals area. But I guess she was one kind of hermaphrodite, I've heard of hermaphrodites who get their penis cut and grow up and do not identify as women but as men (and are therefore mad about their small penises being cut at birth).
1. The term intersex is preferred over hermaphrodite.
2. It's not appropriate to use "it" when talking about intersex people.
3. When a baby is born intersex, doctors advise the parents to 'correct' the biological sex (usually to make the child female) and raise the child as whatever gender matches the sex.
4. The sexual orientation of an intersex person depends upon the gender identity of that individual, not their biological category. An intersex person who never had an operation to make them biologically one sex or the other still has a gender identity (chosen by the parents at birth), and that's the basis of their sexual orientation. So if an intersex person identifies as male and is attracted to women, that person is straight. If an intersex baby had an operation to make them female, and is later attracted to both men and women, she is bisexual.

Depends on which organ is more dominant. Not sure if you guys know of the Caster Sememya debacle.
The Olympic committee decided she's a she. But when I met her at an athletics meet she sounded, looked and moved like a proper dude. So it depends I guess.

I'm totally going to be dragged to the pits of hell for this but I've wondered the same thing for non-binary people. If they're only attracted to one gender, would they be straight? gay? or do the labels just not matter?
