But why are you choosing their faith and religion for them? It's crazy to me that people won't let their own children form morals, a worldview, and a unique perspective. Feeding things to your child and implying that it is the right way to go stunts intellectual development and creates a "we have the right faith and others don't" mentality, which closes people's minds off to different perspectives. It's not that hard.

How is baptizing brainwashing? Even if you teach your children about your religion, which is part your own culture and tradition, they will STILL make their own opinion about it when they reach a certain age, and decide whether or not they will practice this or any religion at all.

Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. It's their duty to teach their kids the same religion that they adhere to and follow especially if you believe it to be true because teaching them the same faith as yours means bringing them up on the same morals, values and principles that you have. It's called imprinting not brainwashing.

But their minds have already been trained to follow a certain faith and deity. I know grown men who think homosexuals are pedophiles and shouldn't be living. They didn't just come up with that opinion out of the blue. They were brainwashed to think that way by their parents. If they had never been forced to be Christian, they would never have those horrible opinions.

Forcing your child to accept your exact view IS brainwashing. Forcing your child to be a Christian and have a Christian theology major IS brainwashing. What if your child wants to be atheist? Will you kick him or her out of your house?

Well, I'm Christian and I don't have those horrible opinions. It depends on the person. Just like there are atheist people who hate gay people.

No, their minds have been trained that way based on the place where they live. Where I live, people don't have many problems with homosexuals.

And you cannot call it being "forced". It's a tradition, you teach your children what you think is right. Same way you pass on cultural traditions for non-religious things such as food. When they are adults, it will be up to them if they continue with certain traditions or not.
