Quincy Brown, Diddy's adopted son, is all grown up and has begun to create a name for himself separate from the brand of his famous father. Speaking with Power 105's The Breakfast Club, the 23-year-old spoke on new music, communicating with his biological father, and even revealed that he was signed on to star as 'Hakeem' in the hot new series Empire.
"Basically, I pretty much booked the role," he told Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy. "Dealing with a show like that, it breaks down theatrically and musically."
Quincy, who said he now goes only by his first name, said that he backed out of the role due to the network's constraints and publishing restrictions of the music that he would be producing: "Theatrically, there were no complaints," he said. "They didn't really let me know that there was a music side that came with a contract. It just took everybody for a loop because we wanted to negotiate and change a couple of things and they were like, 'nah.'"
