SN is lyrically her best album !! RED may have "her BEST songs" but that does not make it as an album "better" I stan for RED too and it's defo her most mature/sombre record and my most played Taylor album but ... I mean just look at the messy tracklist ffs ... 1989 has great songs, great production great one-liners and is VERY cohesive as well. N Atish being sonically cohesive + a consistently strong record DOES make it a better album than a collection of great songs, good songs and not so good fillers

But For me its pretty simple remove 3 fillers from Red and now compare rest of 13 Red tracks with 13 1989(with one which her worst song) tracks and Red is clearly better

As I said (even tho I disagree abt every track being better than that on 1989) that RED may have her best songs but when you play it as an album (and you just can't remove tracks like that) RED becomes a drag after the first few great tracks are done and people skip the fillers whereas 1989 is strong start to finish

Having listened to all Lord's albums back to back i came to the conclusion that "Speak Now" is her magnum opus. Strange. It was 3rd best for me just a month ago.
