I'm not going to trust the critics tbh. I did when the first one came out and didn't want to see it but it happened to be on TV this past winter and I really really enjoyed it and cannot wait to see this one.
Why is this saga getting Twilight level feedback when it's as good as Hunger Games tbh
Omg right? My sister made me watch it despite me being already biased and it was actually pretty cool, corny and tacky and embarrassing script here and there but I wasn't bored a second.
You could tell it was going to be bad just by her damn haircut. Digitalspy's review summed it up perfectly I think:
Quote:
Tris is grieving her parents' recent deaths, which we know because she gives herself an angsty haircut, but she remains otherwise a blank slate. We're repeatedly told that she is special, that she "doesn't belong", that her reactions to situations are extraordinary, but Woodley's appealing presence seldom hints at any of this. "I don't fit into any one faction, and you belong to too many," Naomi Watts's Evelyn tells her, but it's unfortunate that a character who supposedly suffers from an over-abundance of personality should be so passive and colourless. Only read the first book and it was awful.
Saw the movie and it was also bad.
But I'm curious about Insurgent. The trailer looked good
Twilight teas, the movies were bad but I kept watching
