I wouldn't be surprised that Katy is attracted to Anne Frank because she could be one of her fans. And to remind her base that if we allow certain regimes/ideologies overtake us, it would have no mercy in exterminating every single one of us.

She is a powerful writer.
The moment the Free Dutch radio (Radio Oranje) told people to keep their dairies for publication after the war, she started rewriting her diary and thought about how the people would interprete the words.
She died in a concentration camp at the age of a young Katycat, it didn't stop the words. Nowadays her old hiding house (Achterhuis) receives 1.2 million visitors per year and it's only going up.
