Celeb News: Marina comes for Madonna, talks "********" co-writing in Pop

"I'm like: 'Yes! Here's something that will challenge my own thoughts' - because that's what art should do. It should make you think. It should make you feel alive. It should make you feel something."

Returning to her earlier point, she says the "corporate" approach to song-writing inevitably leads to bland, identikit lyrics.

"Why am I the only artist on a major label that has written a whole album by themselves? I think that's weird. That's weird.

"I want to change the culture of all these ******** co-writes where no-one's saying anything.

"I want to inspire people."

She is so full of ****. She's an unknown artist so her record label is always looking for a way to make her "blow up". If she wasn't interested in fame or succeeding, she'd be pulling an Adele and staying the **** away from places like the Brits. She wants to sell, she just doesn't want to admit it because it goes against her "Tumblr" persona. Fact is, every artist, no matter their medium, wants to succeed, wants people to buy their art, and wants people to know who they are. Artists want to be validated most of the time, especially those in the music industry.

And didn't she run to Dr. Luke in an attempt to snatch a hit record only to be like, "I worked with him on purpose because it was part of my character" when the song flopped?
