For example, with the seated leg-press, WHAT DO U DO? Do u just keep pushing out and in as if you're doing push-ups with your legs, or is it supposed to be some type of pattern. What are reps?

Basically. And of course, just make sure your form is correct & you're pushing the platform with the heels of your feet.
Reps = repetitions (how many times you do something). You could do 7 reps and 4 sets, which just means you complete 7 leg press reps 4 times.

Yes that's basically it. Like crouching and standing up again. And I can't really tell you exactly what do, not everything works for everyone For example, I can't use those inflatable balls to save my life. I don't get it
