He doesn't deserve that MetaCritic score but it's whatever. I'm surprised ATRL isn't stanning for it as they love to play numbers game. I'm so happy for him, though.
I bought tickets to his show on August 9. I may pay resell price for the Madison Square Garden show.
I'm surprised how diverse his fanbase is. Like all these white people genuinely knowing his songs:
Nicki could make a really great album, but she will always try to tack on songs that don't fit to appeal to different audiences, and gimmicky songs to get hits. That's the Pinkprints only flaw as an album, even if the songs are individually good.
I think she's really conflicted in terms of who she wants to market herself to. Roman Reloaded put her in a tight spot in that aspect.
What good does a commercially successful single do for the listener tho? Especially in the rap genre
commercially successful meaning it becomes popular on radio, clubs play it etc. Not commercially successful as in Top 5 on Billboard. Although thats always a good thing. But I can't jam to "i" in the club. Or listen to "The Blacker the Berry" when I want to have sex or just chill. Those kind of albums you have to be "in the mood for". I don't want an album where I have to be "in that mood" all the time to play it.
Why does Foxy Brown look so.......................dirty now Is she ok? All of her pics on instagram look so weird, like she thinks she's still in 1997. https://instagram.com/badgyalfox
She looks good to me. She needs to make a comeback if she was really writing the lyrics on Broken Silence. That album is a masterpiece.
As far as Nas albums:
Ilmatic
Life Is Good/It Was Written (I still say Life is Good is the album that Jay-Z tried to make with MCHG and failed)
Untitled/Distant Relatives (With Damian Marley, VERY slept on)
Stillmatic
Hip Hop is Dead
God's Son
I Am
Nastradamus/Street Disciple (Street's Disciple was too long imo)
Lost Tapes is a classic. Doo Rags>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Nas has so many classic loose tracks though.
Jay wasn't trying to do anything with MCHG. Some of the most uninspired **** I've ever heard.

You can have sex to "Swimming Pools" or "Bitch, Don't Mess With My Vibe"?
Kanye is definitely the most talented rap artist overall and the most critical acclaim rap artist.
He's a fellow Gemini so I connect with him so much. He's so misunderstood. There's this intense passion he has that people seem to not get or don't like.
The thing with Kendrick is that this album will be compared to his commercial debut, which is considered one of the best debuts EVER. It will automatically look inferior to GKMC, just like every release after Illmatic was inferior to Illmatic (well, that's true, but still.).

There are other artists I can listen to in the club. I think Rich Homie and Young Thug and them other ****** are dope af...mainly because I can jig to it. But I don't listen to them for lyrical depthness or insight. That's what artists like Kendrick are for. I don't need him compromising his artistry just so I can get a lil coon-ish at the club. Lol
OMG
Top 5 best singles last year, along w/Rambo Kanambo, Bedroom Bully + HI (what a classic)

Nicki's albums are way too bloated (with wack, pandering pop songs like Bed of Lies and Grand Piano) . TPP was mostly good tho.

I'm a Gemini too! I definitely know what you're coming from.
