Before its fourth season even kicks off, HBO has given the go-ahead to a fifth season of Girls.
The announcement came at the show’s premiere party on Monday night in New York City. Lena Dunham and executive producer Jenni Konner will start work tomorrow.
I stopped watching midway through the third season. There are way too many plot holes, and the show is basically the tv series version of Tumblr. I stuck with it for a while because I liked how uncensored and blunt Lena Dunham's writing was, but everything else about her writing sucks and she seems to be running out of ideas.
Even though Shoshanna is my favourite character, I'm looking forward to seeing her develop and becoming more of a human being instead of a gimmick and a caricature. She was just meant to be a comedic relief in the pilot, but Lena loved her so much she wrote her a part, and then they were stuck with this character who seemed like a cartoon.
Is this show good? I saw Zachary Quinto on it so I became interested.
Season 1 is amazing. The rest of the show ranges from ok-decent-very good. Don't watch it for Quinto though, he's literally had 30 seconds of screentime.
