NEW YORK - (Business Wire) Moishe’s Moving and Storage, the largest independent moving and storage company in the New York Tri-State, announced today that May 2nd will mark their second year of sponsorship of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women. Organizers of the annual 5k charity event to fight women’s cancers welcome this year’s host, Jimmy Fallon, who will be joined by Jennifer Connelly, Jessica Alba, Ciara and over 40,000 New Yorkers as they gather again in Times Square to take part in the 12th Annual Run/Walk.
“We are extremely grateful to be a part of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women again this year,” said Eugene Lemay, the CEO of Moishe’s Moving and Storage. “We developed such a wonderful relationship during the planning of last year’s festivities, and the proceeds go to such an important cause. Many Moishe’s employees walked and volunteered last year, and our team will be even larger in 2009.”
“It’s great to have Moishe’s on board again for this year’s Run/Walk,” said Ashley Sampson, project manager for the event. “Since the event began in 1993 we’ve distributed nearly 55 million dollars and this year will be bigger than ever with the support of our sponsors, participants and donors. Each beneficiary organization is dedicated to finding more efficient cancer treatments, providing support to families of loved ones battling the disease and ultimately, finding a cure.”
There will be a special performance by Ciara who will be joined by Songs of Solomon choir as well as Constantine Maroulis and members of the cast from the hit Broadway show Rock of Ages. “I feel blessed to join so many amazing women for the EIF REVLON Run/Walk For Women," says Ciara. "To see everyone celebrate inner strength, perseverance and support for each other is what we need more of in this world, I’m just excited to be a part of it all!”
