Well, I don't know if this is actually something that will be dealt with in the spinoff, but I for one would like a show that actually deals with the science of what the hell is going on and the search for a cure. One of the best episodes to date was the one in S1 in the CDC.
Beyond me just wanting to see that, I'm sure there are hundreds more interesting stories to be told about people around the world dealing with zombies.
