Sam Smith and John Legend have teamed up for a good cause. The two soulful singers have recorded a new version of Smith's "Lay Me Down" for the U.K. charity Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.
All proceeds from the track's sale will go to the charity. In addition to the recording, the singers will appear at the "Comic Relief: Face the Funny" event on March 13. The event will take place at the London Palladium and will air on BBC One.
I'd be nice if Sam featured on Adele's album, but I don't think she likes her albums to feature anyone but herself.
Edit: Wait, just imagining Adele's voice on Like I Can actually sounds good.
They'd probably pick Jennifer Hudson or Alicia Keys or something to keep with the trend... Picking POC features to boost the songs on R&B/ urban formats is... messy.
And I feel like Sam and Adele will avoid working together because of all the "Male Adele" comments.
