Applause deserved a number 1 position, it's infectious and one of the few tracks that won't age no matter how often you play it.

Applause deserved so much more, but there's little else Gsga could have done. That's one part of the ARTPOP era no one can complain about.

I don't really care about #1. I mean, during TF(M), it felt like all her singles were #1 & yet they were not

+ Blurred Lines was a monster hit. It took Katy like a month to pass it, despite massive sales & radio updates. Applause wouldn't have done that, even without Roar;

When I first heard it I was like OMG IT'S SO NOISY WHAT IS GOING ON! I'm still not 100% how she fits in the syllables for the lyrics "Gimme that thing that I love", and I do wish it was "feeling" rather than thing - sounds clunky.

"Venus" is the best (and most interesting) ARTPOP song of course. Hello, my avi.

It makes me really happy too. It's so euphoric and while it's not my favourite song ever it makes me feel so damn happy whenever I listen to it.

I never understand how people ever pictured Alejandro as summery. Y'all didn't think it sounded dark as hell from the start?

Teeth came on shuffle earlier and good Lord, is that song underrated. It's no masterpiece but it's sure as hell a bop and a half.

When people say 'I thought the video would be set on a beach with her in a bikini' I literally can't cope Even outside of the intro, the lyrics are hella dark. Nothing to do with a summer fling or whatever.

Teeth at TMB is out of this world, one of her best tour segments ever, actually. That and Alejandro being together was a stroke of genius, the bold black costumes, 'Jesus Loves Everybody' and then capitalising on the equality themes that underlybin the lyrics of Alejandro. Brilliance.

Applause is one of the best pop songs from this decade and it is one of Gaga's signature hits.
