I forgot about the katykats and the feud you guys have with them and I even forgot about the "secret" blog. I feel much better about my life and I recently got a job so what I guess I'm trying to say is that I'm gonna take a small break from atrl. I'll still peak in here now and then, but as a guest. I might log in to give my feedback if I want.
This isn't a good-bye.
I promise.
signing off ~
In like 15 minutes cuz lbr I wanna read some of y'alls reactions.

Oh no. I completely understand and respect your reasoning, but I think I speak for the majority of us when I say that you will be dearly missed. At least I get to enjoy your flawless taste in men on Tumblr.

How can you not? It has the most replay value of any album I think I've ever listened to. For me though, ARTPOP, BTW and TFM all tie at the top pretty much, with TF coming a close second but still a brilliant record.
But you're lying to yourself if you don't think ARTPOP is her best honestly. And anyway, she already said that if you love ARTPOP then you're more similar to her than anyone, so I'm chill.

Of course it has its bops and stuff but overall it was badly executed, massively overrated, over-hyped and just plain messy. And let's not talk about the DISGUSTING artwork.
I use it from time to time, when I'm feeling gay and bored. I mean, individually, the majority of the songs slay hard. In fact I find it hard to really criticize any song (except maybe MANiCURE) that badly because they're all pretty good.
I hate ARTPOP as a whole, if you know what I mean. And it is by far her worst era as of yet + she really dumbed herself down on the album too. So that doesn't help either.
I have such a love/hate relationship with ARTPOP.

We don't really know what stage of the process she's at.

Except, I do know that's the truth. Mindtrappa already confirmed that Gaga and RedOne's sessions were nothing more than writing sessions and a chance to reconnect and throw around ideas so they could see if the magic was still there. I mean, they were only together for like, three days, so if you think that's long enough to actually producer anything then lol. The only recording that happened during and around that time was with her band who did instrumentals for 'Till It Happens To You'. What happened was that Gaga was in the studio recording and making 'Till It Happens To You' and had RedOne stop by that studio since he was in LA/Malibu at the time. I know it probably hurts to know that Gaga and RedOne didn't actually do all that much together but it's the truth, and it's the truth you have to accept so you don't have a meltdown when and if it turns out Gaga and RedOne didn't do all that much together for LG5.
And then there's what Gaga herself said when it comes to recording in a proper studio as opposed to on the road. Gaga and her team have been working to put together the era and there's even a time frame they want new music to come out, but it's up to Gaga and how fast she wants to work. She is eager to return and release another pop record and she's pretty clear when it comes to what she wants to do. For this reason I do not think it will take long for her to finish the record once she gets into the studio.

The era was terrible, the visuals outside of the videos were lackluster at best after October (and some atrocities - like the Venus looks - before then) and the overall promotion was one of the most disastrous campaigns in the history of pop music. And yes, the artwork wasn't the best but I actually find it beautiful now.
And yes, as an album experience, Born This Way > ARTPOP. But as a collection of songs, ARTPOP rules them all. Well, TFM does but honestly it doesn't feel like an album to me since it's so damn short. ARTPOP has her best songs, best production and best ideas. These weren't always executed well or followed up and developed in the way they should but saying Do What U Want, Sexxx Dreams, Applause, G.U.Y., Aura, ARTPOP, Gypsy, hell, even Swine aren't her best and/or most creative works so far is just ignorant. I'm not discouraging the incredible work she did prior, many songs from the first 3 trump songs I've just listed, but they grew old.
I stand by my opinion, and trust me it took a lot to change it. But seeing ARTPOP now, without the era and it's consequences baring down on us... It'll grow on you. Trust me. And if it doesn't then you're missing out.

I believe you but you KNOW there will be meltdowns cause half the fanbase set themselves up again. They seen 1 picture and in their mind half the album is done with RedOne bops. There might be a chance there will be no collab for LG5 with RedOne and people will be upset and cry that Gaga betrayed them again

Never did I think I'd see ELECTRAHEARTPOP praising ARTPOP, despite his username. What a beautiful sight it is though.
