That's only an issue in countries like the US where people literally have to take the plane just to go from sites to sites.

Sometimes it's because they might be visiting soon so they wanna know but in general I hardly acknowledge the ones that are near, I def. ignore the far away ones

I've learned from experience that I can't handle talking/dating someone that doesn't live in the same state as me. So I naturally either ignore them or tell them I'm not interested.

You are indeed an idiot if this "scam" were to be pulled off successfully. And I imagine it has happened before therefore the term "idiot" arises. And no judgment - on my end at least - yet who dates someone from a different country? Like, when are/were you guys going to meet? So many questions...
