It has nothing to do with our homeless people here but it's a chain.
If you take away the poverty amongst women, who often need to carry a burden to support everyone (in their family) in the poor places of the earth and turn it around it will mean for example that more children will be able to school.
The children that have no chance now to go to school and get an education and a chance of a better future for themselves cause there is no money or they need to stay at home and help the mom in the household and take care of other brothers or sisters. If they are educated they regarded higher and more likely not be married off at young age etc.
So mothers/women are a key role in those societies.

how about addressing the fact? why do people separate school performance statistics by race and gender? do you complain about that too? does that offend you too?

Women are only a bit more likely to have a lower income than men in the UK, and the gap is getting smaller and smaller.

Haven't bothered to check Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.
