before it would be between 6-6:30 AM so that would mean less than 12 hours of sunlight. And lbr I ain't getting up at 6 AM so say I get up at 10 AM I would only see sunlight for like 6-ish hours

lemme try to break this down for you luke. If we set our clocks ahead one hour, that means 6 AM is now 7 AM. So even though the sun is still on it's set schedule instead of it coming out at our 6 AM, it's now our 7 AM.
