LACUNA COIL have released its much-anticipated new album, "Shallow Life", in the U.S. via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded in September/October at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Don Gilmore, who has previously worked with LINKIN PARK, TRAPT, AVRIL LAVIGNE, GOOD CHARLOTTE, THE VERONICAS, PEARL JAM, TRUST COMPANY and DURAN DURAN.

The first single, "Spellbound", is unfortunately not doing very well on the radio or iTunes. I don't even think it has charted in Italy. You can vote for the next single on their official MySpace page. "Survive" is leading with 36% (that's actually what I voted for! )

It's decent, but nowhere near as good as Comalies. :/ Not Enough, Underdog, and Wide Awake are excellent, though.

Comalies definitely owns it in every way, but it's a HUGE HUGE HUGE step in the right direction from the mess that was Karmacode.

True enough. IMO, Cristina sounds really good in this one, as compared to Karmacode.

And I just noticed, it's featured on the front page of Itunes, and in the top twenty albums.
