"Loosen your creative reigns and let other people create your art for you." What a stupidly ignorant, stan-like thing to say. Lady Gaga has never had loose reigns when it comes to her music, she has always had complete and total control over all of her musical output. ARTPOP was a "mess" because Gaga was a mess at the time of its creation. It is loud, sporadic, messy, random, and over the top because that's how Gaga was at that point in time. The thing that makes Gaga's music so great is that it's always a direct reflection of how she's feeling at the moment. Unlike other popstars who let people create their music for them, Gaga's music is tailored to her because it's made by her. You can listen to each of her albums and understand who she was at the time of their creation. With ARTPOP, she was recovering from her injury and fighting with her management team at the time because they couldn't agree with the direction she could take. The messiness of her life and career showed through the work. It's as simple as that.

Things are different now, though. Completely and totally different. Gaga's life is not a mess and neither is her career, and the next album is going to reflect that. Her new album is going to be made in an atmosphere filled with joy, success, and confidence, and we're probably in for a really amazing piece of work.

Lady Gaga should never try to appeal to children, it makes no damn sense. No one who is currently a respected icon and legendary musician appeals to children and never tried to during their career. Gaga is above and beyond that part of her career. Unless Katy and Taylor get up on stage and do what Gaga did at the Oscars, she cannot be compared to them any longer. Katy and Taylor can have the children, Gaga will move on to adults and people who actually respect her, because that's how she's going to stick around.
