No, because Vogue was an uptempo, radio friendly, well promoted soundtrack single released less than 3 months after the end Madonna's biggest and most talked about era.

None of those songs are Work It Out and i don't understand how those have to deal with the post you quoted.
If I'm not mistaken, both of these #1s are also soundtrack singles. Listen (from Dream girls) could also be added. I won't even begin to speculate on how many copies CIL and Haunted from 50SOG soundtrack would've sold if they weren't album only (looking at how well the original versions are selling globally.
