i don't think what i'm saying is registering here. if a song wins an award from ASCAP or BMI, every person who has a songwriting credit on that song will win it... NO MATTER what the contribution is.

if it didn't mean anything the award would have never been given to beyonce? are you trying to say anything given to beyonce automatically has meaning? like those songwriting credits?

btw "songwriter of the year" goes to the person who has a songwriting credit on the most award winning songs that year. it's not an actual judge of songwriting ability
