What she was implying was how some of her fans ruled her off because her chart/sales activity was not the same as her previous era. It's not about liking or disliking what Gaga does. She was specifically calling out people who only support artists because of commercial success.

ARTPOP is not my favorite Gaga album by any means but I still supported her. You can be a fan and objective at the same time.

It is pretty ridiculous how fickle some of her fans were. And continue to be.

Like, ignore ARTPOP and everything post 2011 if you want...but you don't throw her under the bus if you still like the rest of her albums. Just skip this one and check in with the next release.

I guess the reality is that it's almost entirely because they don't want to be seen supporting the 'losing team'.
