Microsoft is way too busy diversifying their revenue streams because they know the $2-3 BILLION they get from Android royalties is paying for the whole XB1 operations.

You do realise the PlayStation is a seperate brand, that is owned by Sony.
Techincally, another company could acquire the PlayStation brand, in short, Sony just own the brand PlayStation.
Sony's other ventures with different areas don't effect PlayStation. So no, the statistics of a VAIO laptop for example, don't have an effect on the PlayStation brand.
Meanwhile the PS1 - PS2 remain the kinds of their era, the PS3 might over take the XB360 soon as it's the only last gen console selling strongly still, and the PS4 is the king of it's era so far as well.
The only mis-fire was the PS Vita. Which is an incredible handheld in it's own right.
