Not really. My aunty grew up with Madonna and is now in her mid 30s married with 2 kids and is still a fan.

Well I'm nearly 22, but it depends what you define as 'stanning'.

I regularly check on here, as well as my favorite artists' websites because I love their music and want to read their interviews, check out performances etc. I buy their albums and vinylls and the odd calendar, but I don't like freak out every time they release some new merch or something.

In terms of reading about their personal life and image is something I used to do as a 13 year old - not something that's important to me now as a nearly 22 year old man. IMO, obsessive 'stanning' is weird regardless of age.

Nah it depends on who you stan for and how old you are.

It's weird to stan for Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez when you're 19 years old but it's not weird to stan for Beyoncé or Madonna when you're 19 years old.
But stan for who you want to, be yourself.
