Well... I´m still young and I don´t see myself as a married man. But I care about rights. It´s not about the marriage itself, it´s about having the same rights as heterosexual people.Homosexual people have to pay the same taxes heterosexual people pay, so we should have the same rights.

I don't care about marriage in general, and I won't rally for the cause.
But I'll support from the comfort of my own home.

It's not about getting married, about having the option to just like straight people. In other words, It's the principle.

And although the gay rights movement today may put too much emphasis on it (since not all gay people want to get married and live the same ~str8 life, some people are polyamorous, some don't want kids etc.), the reason its been the major focus for such a long time is because it's the easiest way to portray the basic denied rights. And it shows how bluntly people deny the fact that two men/two women can be in love.

Some people are fighting this fight because they want to get married and some people are fighting because they might want to get married. It's subtle.

I believe that gay marriage should be between a man and a woman. That's just my personal belief.

you may be. i dont know another gay person who doesnt care about the rights of our gay brothers and sisters.

i live in LA and ive marched in a few parades and protests and it makes me happy that there are people around me who care about the future generations of the LGBT community. you should be too.

They lived together and owned a business together. One day one of them died. The family of the deceased didn't like that he was gay and shut the boyfriend/fiance out of the picture. He didn't get to go to the funeral, get any information, couldn't make choices for the burial and was barred from seeing the grave site.
