As someone who's been watching this show since episode one, lemme just say that Jude's story arc has been handled incredibly well. This isn't just something they had happen for shock value or what have you, it's something that's been building up for quite some time now and they did it respectfully and in a realistic way.
This show is so amazing on so many levels and this kind of representation for young gay kids is VERY, VERY important.
