I don't think he deserved to have his life ended like that - yes there was an altercation but they could've handled it without taking his life, tbh. There are like 6 cops or smth.

The guy was literally on the ground and they shoot him...

They have too much power and they aren't held responsible for their actions, even when they are essentially slaughtering citizens. They are far too trigger-happy.

The guy from the LAPD press release said that the homeless guy tried to reach for their guns, and was still resisting arrest after being tazed twice. They also said any developments in the case would be made 100% public compared to the censorship from the Ferguson PD.

I really think American cops are the pits but don't think this is one of them cases

I hear you, but it just seems so disproportionate to me. The cops are all over him - I would be looking for a way out and may snatch at a weapon/the cops' clothing to gain leverage, resulting in my death? There are control/pain techniques available to them that should be the go-to, IMO - rather than emptying that cartridge.

The guy at the end dragging the cops is brave - with all the adrenalin pumping and the tense situation, that could've ended differently.

This. I read about this all over the internet yesterday and as much as I want to stand up for our rights as citizens and against power-hungry/racist cops, I honestly don't know if this is a good case for that. The man reached for the cop's gun. And if you listen to the audio closely, it sounds like he actually did get a hold of the gun because the cops are yelling at him to drop it before they shoot.

And they did try tasing him already but apparently it didn't help the situation, so I can't in good conscience say this is a parallel to Ferguson or Tamir Rice. It just sounds like a really tense, unfortunate situation where things got out of hand.

You can say what you want about what he did and their intentions... but five bullets? Five shots? I don't know.
