I think Ghosttown was released with preorder for a reason though.
It's like the best thing on the album and Madonna knows it, she wanted as many people as possible to hear the song and maybe test the waters for a release and see how it is received in general.
For MDNA, they release Girl Gone Wild pretty much around the time of album release + the video on the exact release date despite the fact that it had leaked.
