Take You Time is flying up the country charts, which is a surprise since he is still a new artist
Hmm, I still see songs falling after they peak on country radio and get the boot off the charts 2 weeks later. i don't think that will ever change, but it would be nice to have 5 week #1's again NYN came out so long ago

No I remember we both filled the wall with questions about why "Play It Again" wasn't getting promoted as a crossover when it was already getting unsolicited airplay at Hot AC. Many others agreed. Mediabase always removes a #1 song after two weeks. Billboard can be three weeks, as with PIA, and occasionally four weeks, like the Zac Brown Band's "Keep Me In Mind".
Only a handful of songs had a five week fall this decade, and "Need You Now" was one of them. "Need You Now" also has the longest stay of any song in Billboard's Country Airplay Top Ten this decade with 16 weeks. Since it fell out from #6, the song would have likely held on two to three more weeks if Billboard did not take the spin ranking into consideration when forcing songs into recurrency even though they rank the chart by impressions. That is why I did the charts with no recurrent rules.
Hopefully my neck and head will heal soon so I can go back to doing all of my blogs. I wrote an article three weeks ago, and when I was using it as a sample for my scholarship application Friday night I was horrified at all of the mistakes I made in writing it. Knowing that, I am wary of writing knowing my pain and pain meds combine together to make me a lousy writer.
