No and that's the problem here, liking men doesn't equal to being feminine, you can hate being feminine and respect others who are. But I think there is a lot more damage in people who think that every man that likes men has to be feminine and love feminine things. So he's not even naturally masculine, he's one of those gays who purposely acts straight because of his issues with femininity. Those types of gays are the worse. They think they're less gay or more manly because they wear basketball shorts and flip flops. Like no, you're still ****ing guys and sucking dick, you're as gay as the rest of us. He's literally saying he's thankful he's not femme. Why's it so hard to see the issue with that? And his inclusion of "prancing around and singing in the street" comes straight from the book of homophobia. That's how homophobes see gay men and he's saying he's thankful he's not like all those other gays. You don't even have to spin what he said to find an issue with it.

"Feminine" and "masculine" are social constructs, sweetie. It seems trendy to talk down to "feminine" gays and say that "masculine" gays are "breaking stereotypes" and "act normal" and aren't "****ty" in a way that's very destructive. And what he's saying about his dad here is actually pointing to him being raised in an environment with underlying homophobia with problematic behavioral training. "Hating being feminine," also, actually is a problem; it points to having an intrinsic hatred for women.
