This is so true now that you say it.
Formally Mariah is stupid, but she's musically really smart (even though she does the same thing over).
She's wrote AND produced everything in her whole career except maybe 5-10 songs (covers - I'll Be There, Without You, Against All Odds, I Want to Know What Love Is, Last Night a DJ Saved My Life, Open Arms, One Last Try). She already knew she was a musical genius & was gonna be famous anyways, if you watch her interviews. She didn't even try in school she just skipped and always worked in studios to get demos.
It's kinda weird though, because barely anyone in her life knew her voice was like that (besides immediate family and people she worked with). You'd think her being a diva she'd be singing and bragging every day.
