We have a lot to look out for in order to avoid conflict, but we are never guaranteed safety throughout life, we may feel safe in the moment in our homes, but once we go out into the world anything crazy or tragic can happen. Murderers, freak accidents, car accidents, robberies, etc. We're all sharing this earth together but there is so much conflict, violence, and hate.. you can be caught in the middle of it at almost anytime.
Is it scary knowing that life is just a game of chance and you never know when you're next?
We have it 1000x better than most other species on Earth. To some species, we're not just the reason for their endangerment, we're also their only hope of survival. How scary is that?
But yes, life can be scary, depending on your perspective.
I, for one, think it's awesome that we get to be the most sentient beings on Earth. We interact with each other in a way that no other species on this planet can. Our intellectual capabilities are truly unmatched here.

No...I would rather be a human than a lobster...a chicken...a cow...a monkey...an elephant...a whale...
basically we **** up the lives of so many animals, that being a human is literally the best you can hope for on this planet
It is, to some extent — we have one of the highest brain mass to overall mass ratios of any animal. I've always thought it's interesting that so few species use sex for recreation.
