I think you and Obession and hot mess are having 2 different discussions.
Obssession and hot mess seem to be saying, I want more original black/POC superheroes in the movies, not just black/POC actors cast in roles that were originally white.
You seem to be saying that Michelle Rodriguez needs to sit her pressed ass down because no one is being hurt by a few superhero movie role slots being filled by POC's, especially when race wasn't central to those characters anyway.
You all happen to be right.
And Another thing. Miles Morales is Ultimate Comics Spiderman, with a completely different narrative and background that differs from Peter Parker.
I've read through the first run of the series, and while his being black-Hispanic is mentioned, Mile's race isn't central to the character. His socio-economic class is, but not really his race. The first book is about his winning a charter school lottery. Other than that, he's just another kid from NYC, who happened to get bitten by a radioactive spider . . .
