I won't kick my kids out the house BUT when they turn 18 they would have to pay me about 300$ a month just so they can learn responsibility and how the real world functions. However if by the time they are done uni/college +2 years after uni/college is done, then I might have to talk to them a tiny bit. Maybe my maximum I could give them is 24 years old. Then I would suggest helping them find a new place BUT only if they have a steady/good enough job by then. Not because I would not love them or enjoy their presence but really mostly because I need them to learn how it is to be an adult and how the world functions.

My Situation: my mom and I have a bumpy relationship but its gotten so much better and we agreed that I stay until I finish my bachelors degree in uni. But that I pay her about 200$ a month and pay for Internet connection. So ya about 250$ a month (which is so cheap. she only demands it if I am working... not when I am jobless lol)

Let me tell you, that's a really ****** thing to do imo.

My parents are making me pay for living with them and it's incredibly stressfull. Instead of focusing on my studies and getting more stuff done for uni I have to go to work 20-25 hours a week. As a student I can't find a proper job so I work at a supermarket and that **** is tough ok. When I get home instead of revising i'm usually dead tired and can't do anything.

My life consists of work and uni and the added money stress is making it worse because I could be saving that money for my future so that I can move out eventually because living on your own is expensive.

And no, it doesn't really teach responsibility because you're paying - sure but you still don't 'own' the place. You still have to abide to rules and do stuff that your parents tell you, you can't come home when you want, go to bed when you want, etc (at least I can't) and you don't learn independence - so really, it's just a waste of money and time.

Ok first off, I don't want kids. If anything possibly one boy.

But are you guys f**king serious that you would kick your kids out of the house if they're struggling? I'm sure a lot of us don't know, but you would be emotionally attached to your own freaking children. Some of you saying you would leave your kids in the wind is honestly disgusting. If you give them a good education, and a good lifestyle, they'll be responsible enough to know when and how to get a job and how to make it in the real world.

College, they can stay until graduation, and find a job with no rent.

I dont know, it depends on the situation and how i am as a parent.. all i know right now at 19 is that i would like to have a family, a big family that stays together and talks to each other... I dont want to raise kids in the type of family that i was raised in.

When they want to. If they are not in school and have a job I would expect them to help pay the bills.
