I'm surprised she just didn't tell him "bitch I'm Madonna"

And yea, I noticed that she was less provocative at a certain time period in her career but it didn't start when she married Guy. It was around Evita and Lourdes being born all the way to Confessions era. There were like 3 stunts total in that 10 year span, I think: American Life video, VMA kiss and LTT performance with the crucification. That all happened 2003-2006 and coincidentally marked the beginning of her artistic regression imo.

I don't mind some of her stunts and being provocative, I just wish her work didn't take a backseat to it in recent years.

I think she also wanted to prove a point about not needing sex to sell or whatever. She didn't take her clothes off much from about '95 to '05, kind of put down her racier material in the past, and ended up selling quite well (until American Life). Then she evidently got bored of the conservatism (the burgeoning ageist commentary may have sparked something more provocative in her as well).

But she has created songs away from the "stunts" as you put it, especially on this latest record. She's giving them as much time as the other stuff.

oh I've heard absolute terrible things about that man. Don't like him at all. but I do think he got better and they're friends now for the sake of their kids.
