I still see Light blue and Gold no matter how I look at the picture.

I don't care about what color it is in real life but in THIS photo, I only see Light blue and Gold.

Yes, that's what allows them to be the same shade, if you think about how it is in reality.

Imagine two different shades-- cuz that's what we have.

The lighter shade is darkened, and the darker shade is lightened, until they reach a point where they're the same shade.

That's what's happening.
