This. I feel like more artistically aware individual would say that the dress is clearly WHITE and gold with a slight shadow cast.

Our brains intepret some colors differently.

Either way, why does CALLING something different make our brains different? They're not.

Like, you can call it blue and I can call it white and Monte can call it dark white and what have you, but we're undeniably seeing the exact same thing with the exact same perception thanks to basic biology.

Yeah, because the lighting and shadows in a sh*tty phone pic and in a professional music video are gonna be exactly the same...

It does not look black in the picture at all, it looks gold!

I first saw it like an hour ago, and it was BLUE/BLACK. Like, there was no doubt in my mind. I read that Wired article which explains the science behind the dress. It said that if you went into a dark room for about 45 minutes and then looked at it, you would see a different color.

Well, I've been watching the HTGAWM finale in the dark, and now I just looked at the dress again, and it's GOLD/WHITE. Again, no doubt in my mind. So I completely understand how different people are seeing different colors.
