It's Black and Blue even tho i see white and gold, heres why
The picture of the dress was probably taken under a really bright light like some department stores have and the rest of the store is dark. And the light is directly ontop of the dress which makes the black look gold as black does when you take a picture of it with flash. Same goes for the Blue looking white. IF you notice the dress starts to get darker at the bottom
if you've taken an art class...you would know that people aren't talking about printer paper white
it has a darker undertone in shading
lmao no a darker undertone in shading would be grey. i've never done sketches where it turned blue
it's light blue b/c of white balance issues.
your eyes are basically being tricked.
This is what your camera does. It adjusts color temperature when it takes images so it looks natural. Your eyes with your brain do this automatically.
For some reason, the specific colors in the image are so troublesome that they leave the human brain a way to intepret it EITHER way (towards warm - that would be gold) or towards blue - so the dress would look blue) depending on your individual set of eyes.
99 percent of other colors everyones brain basically inteprets the same way
