I wasn't even hyped for TIHTY, but I've already played it twice.
I don't even mind the vocals. I tend to prefer her lighter head voice, but I think the rock-type vocals she used suit the material in this case. I'm glad she's not vocal frying her voice to death like on Dope either.
Those complaining about the vocals are basically complaining that she didn't sing in a way that is radio friendly and void of emotion. You better get used to it because more is coming, she already confirmed she's gonna start using her real voice as opposed to a radio-friendly, processed one.
It's actually about her singing in a lower register, rather than the vocals being processed, so it's all MOOT. It has nothing to do with what's radio friendly or has emotion, simply her lower register.
TIHTY IS So so so so much better than Dope, but i generally dont like her nasal (?) voice that she used in Dope, too. But this is simply beyond that, especially the vocals at the end. I wish she would sing the whole song like that.
TIHTY is a great song tbh, she used the same vocals that she used in Brooklyn Nights, I don't hear any Dope in there nor Speechless nor You and I I hear Brooklyn Nights
